Diksha remembers going to the hospital to see her sick father suffering from a chronic health condition. Diksha was at the brink of dropping out of school at 9th grade due to poverty and her father’s deteriorating health.
But Diksha had a dream she dared to dream. She wanted to become a doctor and help her father and others like him.
One Life to Love helped Diksha to continue to stay in school despite her family’s situation. Under the aegis of OL2L’s Girls’ Education Program Diksha could avail the best reference books for preparing for the highly competitive National Entrance Exam for College of Medicine. She also enrolled in our free computer course and spoken English course. With our help and her grit to keep her dream alive, today Diksha is studying to be a doctor in the top Medical School in India.
