Zara’s Story
Zara is a hardworking student at one of our Community Schools. But at home, life has become incredibly difficult.
Zara’s father left the family, leaving her mother to carry the responsibility of raising her children and providing for the household. Today, her mother works two jobs just to make ends meet.
The pressure became so great that Zara had to leave school to help her mother work.
When our team visited their home, we learned that a simple tool could make a life-changing difference.
A sewing machine.
With a sewing machine, Zara’s mother could work from home, take on more sewing work, and potentially increase her income—while still caring for her family.
Our hope is not simply to help this family survive. It is to help create a path forward.
